The scope of Medical Affairs is broad and its impact is felt throughout the organization:

  • Works closely with and oversees Safety and Risk, Direction of Healthcare Improvement, Clinical Integration, Practice of Evidence-Based Medicine, Electronic Health Record, Medical Staff Office, and Computer Physician Order Entry.
  • Assists Care Coordination, Social Work, Utilization Review, and leads accreditation processes.
  • Provides direction and oversees the Medical Staff Services Office personnel for such issues as Credentials, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, Professional Conduct, CME, HIM, and Record Completion.
  • Will be accountable for physician and patient satisfaction.​​
