Arrhythmia, including irregular heartbeat and heart palpitations, is a group of conditions in which heart activity is faster or slower than normal.
The Arrhythmia Center helps provide answers for patients with heart rhythm symptoms. Physicians and staff stay in close and have frequent communication with patients' referring physicians to help provide accurate tracking of symptoms, necessary treatments, and medications and/or dosages.
With care provided by a highly specialized team of physicians (electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and cardiac surgeons) on the medical staff and dedicated to the treatment of arrhythmias, the Arrhythmia Center's primary goal is to determine the most appropriate treatment option for a patient with arrhythmia symptoms. This may include medication, non-invasive testing, or catheter-based/surgical procedures.
The Arrhythmia Center Offers:
Diagnostic methods include electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, stress tests, ambulatory telemetry monitors (Holter and event), CT scanning, and cardiac MRI.
Physicians are members of the medical staff at one of Baylor Health Care System's subsidiary, community or affiliated medical centers and are neither employees nor agents of those medical centers, The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano or Baylor Health Care System.
