Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano features one of the nation's most robust aortic valve replacement and repair programs. Our aortic valve replacement program routinely receives the highest rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

While we offer a number of different approaches to correct many different types of aortic valve disease, we are proud to feature a highly experienced Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement program (TAVR). TAVR is a relatively new, minimally invasive technique used to replace the heart’s aortic valve.

The cardiac interventionalists on our medical staff have performed more than a thousand TAVR procedures and have achieved tremendous outcomes including complication rates that are below the national average and shorter hospital stays for guests.

In addition to TAVR, Baylor Scott & White Heart – Plano offers a complete portfolio of procedures to address aortic valve issues:

  • Traditional aortic valve replacement
  • Aortic valve repair
  • Aortic root procedures
  • Aortic valve sparing
