The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano wins Press GaneyTM Summit Awards® in Emergency Department and Inpatient Satisfaction Categories
The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano has achieved a milestone few other hospitals can claim. It is one of only 87 recipients of the 2011 Summit® Award in two areas-emergency department and inpatient satisfaction in the All Press Ganey database. The Summit® Award is one of Press Ganey's most prestigious awards, honoring hospitals that sustain an overall rank above the 95th percentile for at least the past three consecutive years.
The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano Named 'Top Performer on Key Quality Measures' by The Joint Commission
The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano is proud to announce it has been named one of the nation's Top Performers on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the country. The hospital was recognized based on 2010 data reported for evidence-based clinical processes shown to improve care for heart attack, heart failure and surgical care.
Chest Pain Center Accreditation
In June, The Heart Hospital was awarded full Chest Pain Center Accreditation with PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC), a non-profit international society that bridges cardiology, emergency medicine and other professions focused upon improving care for guests with acute coronary syndromes and acute heart failure. This accreditation validates the commitment of our staff, physicians and administration to provide quality cardiac care and to achieve medical excellence in cardiovascular outcomes for our guests. Aetna Institutes of Quality (IOQ) for Cardiovascular Services
The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano has been designated as an IOQ for cardiovascular services including cardiovascular surgery, cardiac medical intervention, rhythm disease diagnosis and treatment. Designated IOQ facilities demonstrate excellence in care, a commitment to continuous improvement and represent an exceptional value to Aetna members. IOQ facilities are recognized in DocFind® online provider directory. The goal of the IOQ is to assist members in choosing facilities that provide consistently high-quality and high-value care. The IOQ Oversight Committee generally reviews IOQ programs on a two year cycle for continued designation.
