At The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, we recognize the value of prevention as well as treatment. For this reason, we offer you and your family a wide variety of wellness and prevention options in our five-star setting.
In addition to in-suite delivery of delicious heart-healthy meals on fine china by our tuxedoed servers, our skilled dietitians will work with you to address your unique dietary needs.
We create seasonal, heart-healthy recipes for our guests and families, some of which are available on this website. Just go to Heart-Healthy Cooking to access and print them. For your heart health and dining enjoyment, we will periodically add to this collection of recipes.
Cooking demonstrations at community health events at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano also provide an opportunity for encouraging healthy habits.
We recognize spiritual needs as an important part of your health, well-being, and recovery. For this reason, chaplain service is available to you and your family 24 hours a day.
Our chaplain holds a weekly worship service on Wednesdays at noon as well as special events and seminars throughout the year.
Our Chapel, located on the first floor, is beautiful and serene - an ideal place for quiet reflection and prayer.
The goal of our comprehensive on-site cardiac rehabilitation program is to provide you with a physically and emotionally safe place to recover at your own pace and under the supervision of our caring staff of highly trained professionals.
The first phase of rehabilitation lasts from 6 to 8 weeks. This phase is followed by a second phase of up to 4 weeks. Guests attend 3 sessions each week. We tailor each session to your individual needs. All costs are included with the program, and most insurances cover it. Please check with your insurance provider to determine if your rehabilitation program is covered.
If you are interested in the program and have not been referred, we can work with your provider to obtain a referral.
Leap for Life® and Caring Hearts®
Leap for Life® is free to people with a history of cardiovascular disease. It is a wellness and disease prevention program that draws from behavioral change techniques to achieve better health. We provide healthy living workshops, reading materials, and incentives for success.
Caring Hearts® is a program that matches volunteers -- who are a year past their own cardiac event -- with current guests. The support and learning that often takes place is both powerful and memorable.
