Patients with severe aortic stenosis can now be considered for the less-invasive treatment with the new FDA-approved procedure known as the Edwards SAPIEN Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). Having TAVR as a treatment option for these high risk patients was made possible through research at THE HEART HOSPITAL.
